All things work together for good for those who love the Lord.

Continue to rise no matter what

Having no support system does not mean you will never find one. Rehan Staton was born in Bowie to two working parents. As a child, he had a rocky home life. Financial difficulties and food insecurity plagued the family. Staton was unable to concentrate in school without food, and his grades began to slip. In spite of the teacher's criticism, his parents were advised to place him in special education classes. In the Seventh Grade, Staton began working with a tutor, who improved his grades, but when he was no longer able to assist him, his grades again fell. Although Staton found peace in his athletic abilities, he injured both of his shoulders, and without health insurance he could not receive the treatment he needed. He wanted to help his dad pay the bills, so he began working for a sanitation company. It was a sanitation company that offered him support.

Statons brother would do anything to see him succeed, so he dropped out to help his father so Rehan could attend school. Staton found a great support system at Bowie State and excelled academically. Staton transferred to the University Of Maryland after two years and began to take on leadership roles and he began to do exceptionally well but after graduating he was so ill he could not accept job offers and it was a constant struggle. "I literally thought I was dying," said Staton. In March, Staton received his acceptance letter for taking the LSAT. Staton got into Harvard Law School. Staton believed that despite everything he endured and sacrificed, it was all worth it. He believed that despite all his suffering and sacrifices, it was all worth it.Despite all he endured and sacrificed, Staton believed it was all worth it. As far as Staton was concerned, everything he endured and sacrificed was worth it. Staton was convinced that it was all worthwhile despite everything he endured and sacrificed. Staton felt that everything he endured and sacrificed was worthwhile.

In the fall, Staton will begin his studies at Harvard Law School. He proves that no matter how hard the road is you can always come out a winner. "No one can promise that life will be fair, but if you keep your eyes on the prize, everything will fall into place,"Staton said.
